Email campaigns

If done properly email sends can be one of the most effective means of communication.

The emails that we all read are from clients, suppliers, friends, family and people we know, the rest we will probably bin. If we were to build up an email database of clients and prospects, then send them regular emails (say one per month) with topics such as: special offers, new products, interesting industry news etc. this would really build your brand awareness and help with sales. Research has shown that people are 6 times more likely to buy from a company they know and trust rather than an unknown one. It is also a great way to cross sell all of your products and services.

Just think, if your favourite restaurant were to send you a regular email with special offers such as free wine with your meal or kids eat for free, you would probably use some or all of these offers because you know and trust the product – that’s how emails can work.

You can send unsolicited emails but they really need to be carefully targeted, for instance, a motorcycle dealership could buy a database of motorbike owners and in the email title header would be a relevant heading such as ‘Motorbike servicing from £50’. This message is relevant to the persons needs so they would probably open it.
