Brochures and outer foldersMany people expect brochures to do too many things. A company brochure should never be used as direct mail – that requires a totally different approach. Brochures should be used when someone has enquired about your company or handed out during a sales presentation and/or as a leave behind. They can also be sent out to people who already know about you. A brochure’s function is normally to inform the reader about the services or products that a company provides. When producing a brochure, you should always imagine you are a potential client – what are the main selling points and what benefits can the product or service provide. Why should a person buy from you rather than one of your competitors? If there is going to be photography ensure that the pictures are good quality, a poor photograph will only be used once whereas good pictures can be used for numerous applications. Do not scrimp on the quality of production; your brochure is your silent salesman and a representative of your company.
